The Story Behind The Belt

When the six-man title was created. ROH announced the championship in a press release on 30 August 2016 and established it on 2 December 2016. It was the first new ROH title in six years, following the World Television Championship created in 2010.

Who won it first. The Kingdom, made up of Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia, beat Jay White, Kushida and Lio Rush in the final of an eight-team tournament at Final Battle in New York City to become the inaugural champions.

Why ROH created it. ROH pointed to six-man tag matches being a staple of Mexican lucha libre, and to NJPW having recently created its own trios title, the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship. ROH promoted it as the first six-man title in a major American promotion in nearly thirty years.

How many belts the title uses. The championship is contested by trios, so three identical belts are awarded. We sell them individually, which lets a team order one at a time or a collector own a single belt.

Care And Display Guide

How to clean enamel plates. Use a dry microfibre cloth. Solvents and alcohol wipes lift coloured enamel, and once the red goes patchy there is no way back short of refilling the plate.

How to store the leather strap. Hang the belt at full length or lay it flat. Folding leaves a permanent crease behind the centre plate. Keep it away from radiators and direct sunlight.

How to keep several belts matched. If you are building toward a trio, store each belt in the same room as it arrives. Heat and light age leather at different rates, and belts kept apart will drift in colour.

What to do if something comes loose. Contact us before trying a repair. Glue and solvents damage plating and leather faster than the original fault does.
