Choose Your Build

Which plate metal to pick. Zinc SD comes from a die-cast mould and fills the detail cleanly at the friendliest price. Zinc CNC machines every plate instead so the edges hold sharper. Brass runs denser than either and carries the most weight on the waist.

Which plate thickness to pick. Order 2mm or 4mm if you plan to wear the belt. Order 6mm or 8mm if it is going into a case, because thicker plates throw deeper shadows.

Why the silver finish matters here. This design reads as silver rather than gold, which is unusual among ROH belts. We plate it in nickel or silver to keep that contrast, and a gold version will look like a different belt entirely.

Why engraving matters on a figure design. A grappler figure lives or dies on its outline. CNC etching bites deeper than stamping, so the pose stays readable instead of blurring into the plate.

The Story Behind The Belt

When the Pure Championship was created. ROH established the title on 14 February 2004, originally under the name ROH Pure Wrestling Championship. A.J. Styles became the first champion. It was the promotion’s first secondary singles title.

Why it was retired in 2006. Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness lost a unification match to ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson in Liverpool, England. Danielson announced the Pure Championship was retired and handed the belt back to McGuinness to keep, which folded the title into the ROH World Championship.

When it came back. ROH revived the Pure Championship in January 2020 as a secondary singles title once again. By then the ROH World Television Championship had spent a decade filling the role the Pure title had left behind.

What the title stands for. Pure rules restrict rope breaks and closed fists, which pushes matches toward mat wrestling and submissions. Collectors who buy this belt are usually buying the ruleset as much as the design.

Care And Display

How to clean silver plating. Use a dry microfibre cloth and nothing else. Silver and nickel finishes show fingerprints faster than gold, so handle the plates by the edges and wipe them down after each handling.

How to store the leather strap. Hang the belt at full length or lay it flat. Folding leaves a permanent crease behind the centre plate. Keep the strap away from radiators and direct sunlight.

Why polish is the wrong answer. Silver polish is made for solid silver, not plating, and it will strip a plated finish in a single pass. Dry cloth only, every time.

What to do if something comes loose. Contact us before trying a repair. Glue and solvents damage plating and leather faster than the original fault does.
