IWGP Intercontinental Title Belt
White leather is what sets this one apart. Every other belt in the NJPW line runs black, so the IWGP Intercontinental reads differently the moment you hang it. We hand-tool the white cowhide strap to 50 inches, fitting waists up to 46. Plates come in zinc SD, zinc CNC, or brass, in 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, or 8mm, finished in standard gold, 24k, nickel, silver, or antique. Assembled, the belt weighs 7 to 8 lbs. Prices range from $130 to $520, depending on the material and thickness you pick, and the nameplate is free.

Choose Your Build
Plate metal. Zinc SD die-casts the detail cleanly at the friendliest price. Zinc CNC machines each plate, so edges stay crisper. Brass runs denser and carries the most weight on the shoulder.
Plate thickness. A 2mm or 4mm build stays light enough to wear through a show. A 6mm or 8mm build adds depth that reads better in a display case.
Strap colour. White is the signature, and we match the original tone rather than going bright. If you would rather have black, or something in between, say so at checkout and we cut it that way.
Plating. Standard gold covers evenly at lower cost. The 24k gold upgrade warms the tone, which contrasts harder against white leather than it does on black. Nickel, silver, and antique finishes are also available.
Customization. Change the metal, thickness, plating, enamel colours, strap colour, or length. Your nameplate is free, and we cut logo side plates from your artwork.
The Story Behind This Title
NJPW announced this title on January 5, 2011 and crowned MVP as the first champion on May 15, when he beat Toru Yano in an eight-man tournament final in Philadelphia, during the promotion’s first United States tour. Shinsuke Nakamura then spent years raising its standing, until the Intercontinental match took top billing over the heavyweight match at Wrestle Kingdom. NJPW unified it with the IWGP Heavyweight Championship on March 4, 2021 and retired the belt that night.
Designed For Fans, Collectors, And Champions
The white strap makes it stand out against the rest of our IWGP belt collection. Collectors hang it where the contrast shows, usually beside the black heavyweight belts. Nakamura-era collectors often add the American title from the same period. Indie promoters use it as a secondary prize below their main belt, matching how NJPW ranked it. For wearing, pick 2mm or 4mm zinc, since white leather creases more visibly than black and a lighter build keeps the strap flatter.
Care And Display Guide
White leather asks for more care than black. Keep the strap away from denim and dyed fabrics, which transfer colour onto pale cowhide and rarely come out. Handle it with clean, dry hands, and wipe the plates with a dry microfibre cloth only. Store it flat or hung at full length, never folded, and keep it out of direct sun to stop the white yellowing over time. A soft brush lifts surface dust without working dirt into the grain.
