Version 5 Heavyweight Championship Title
The IWGP V5 Heavyweight Championship replica belt is the two-tone design NJPW used for its World Heavyweight era. Gold and silver run together across the plates rather than a single flat finish, set on a black cowhide strap. Choose your plates in zinc SD or zinc CNC. Solid brass is there when you want more weight. Thickness runs from 2mm up to 8mm. CNC etching keeps the globe and the lettering sharp on a design built around clean lines. The hand-tooled strap measures 50 inches and fits a waist up to 46. A finished belt weighs 7 to 8 lbs. Prices run from $130 to $520 and the nameplate is free.

Choose Your Build
Which plate metal to pick. Zinc SD comes from a die-cast mould and fills the detail cleanly at the friendliest price. Zinc CNC machines every plate instead so the edges hold sharper. Brass runs denser than either one and carries the most weight on the waist.
Which plate thickness to pick. Order 2mm or 4mm if you plan to wear the belt. Order 6mm or 8mm if it is going into a case, because thicker plates throw deeper shadows under lighting.
Why the dual finish matters. This design leans on two metal tones working against each other rather than one flat gold. We plate the raised areas and the recessed areas separately so the contrast holds, and that contrast is what makes the V5 read as the V5 rather than a generic gold belt.
Which finishes to combine. Most buyers take 24k gold against nickel or silver, which matches the original pairing. You can also run a single finish across the whole plate if you prefer a simpler look, or swap in antique for a darker contrast.
Why engraving matters here. The V5 uses a cleaner, more modern plate than the designs before it, so there is less decoration to hide a soft edge. CNC etching cuts deep enough that the lines stay crisp under display lighting.
What you can customize. You can change the plate metal, the plate thickness and both plating tones. You can also change enamel shades, strap colour, stitch colour and strap length. Your nameplate is free and we cut logo side plates from artwork you send us.
The Story Behind The Belt
Where the V5 came from. NJPW unified the IWGP Heavyweight Championship with the Intercontinental Championship on 4 March 2021. The two titles were retired and replaced by the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, and this belt was made for that new title.
Why collectors number it V5. The heavyweight championship has been carried by five belt designs between 1987 and 2026, and the World Heavyweight belt is the fifth of them. That is why sellers and collectors call it the V5 even though the title carried a different name.
How long it was used. The V5 represented NJPW’s top singles title from 2021 until 2026. NJPW then merged those reigns back into the original lineage and returned to the V4 belt, which had been retired in 2021.
What makes it different to look at. Every earlier design worked in gold alone. The V5 runs gold against silver across the plate, which is the quickest way to tell it apart from the rest of the lineage at a glance.
Designed For Fans, Collectors, And Champions
Who buys the V5 replica? This belt suits fans who came to New Japan during the Okada and Ospreay era rather than the earlier years. Collectors buy it to close out the version line, since it sits at the end of the sequence. Indie promoters pick it when they want a top prize that looks current rather than vintage.
Which build suits which buyer. Order 2mm or 4mm zinc if the belt is going over a shoulder, because the lighter plate sits better across a long night. Order 6mm or 8mm in brass for a display case, where the dual finish picks up far more light.
Care And Display
How to clean a dual-plated belt. Use a dry microfibre cloth and work in one direction across the plate. Two finishes sit side by side here, so circular rubbing drags residue from the darker tone into the lighter one and leaves it looking muddy.
How to store the leather strap. Hang the belt at full length or lay it flat. Folding leaves a permanent crease behind the centre plate. Keep the strap away from radiators and direct sunlight, both of which dry cowhide and fade the black.
What to avoid entirely. Metal polish strips plating, and on a dual-tone belt it strips the two finishes at different rates, so one tone goes before the other. Never use it, and keep solvents and alcohol wipes away too.
What to do if something comes loose. Contact us before trying a repair. Glue and solvents damage plating and leather faster than the original fault does, and a loose snap or plate is simple for us to put right.
