IWGP 2nd Version Heavyweight Championship Belt
This IWGP V2 replica rebuilds the second-generation NJPW heavyweight title, the belt presented to Shinya Hashimoto in 1997. Collectors know it as the Hashimoto belt, and it stayed in service until Shinsuke Nakamura handed it to his son Daichi in March 2008. The face follows the original IWGP layout, with the lion and globe motif behind the lettering. Two side plates sit on each side of a genuine cowhide strap. Our professional craftsmen build every belt to order, in-house.
It falls mid-lineage, which is easiest to see laid out across every IWGP replica we build.

Choose Your Build
Plate metal. Zinc SD die-casts the detail cleanly at the friendliest price. Zinc CNC machines each plate, so the edges stay crisper. Brass runs denser and hands you the most weight on the waist.
Plate thickness. A 2mm or 4mm build stays light enough to wear all night. A 6mm or 8mm build adds depth that reads better in a display case.
Engraving. CNC etching cuts deeper than stamping, so the IWGP lettering and the lion hold their edges.
Plating. Standard gold plating lays down an even coat. The 24k gold plating upgrade warms the tone and lifts the relief. Nickel, silver, and antique finishes are also available.
Customization. Change the metal, thickness, plating, enamel colours, strap colour, or length. Your nameplate is free, and we cut logo side plates from your artwork.
Story Behind the Belt
NJPW created this second design during Hashimoto’s reign, replacing the original belt Antonio Inoki had made. Then, New Japan brought this belt back in July 2006 when Brock Lesnar left and took the third belt with him. And after that, Nakamura handed this version to Daichi Hashimoto in 2008, and NJPW unveiled the fourth design days later.
