Classic Design WWE Intercontinental Championship Title

White leather under the classic plates is what sets this build apart. The WWE Intercontinental Championship replica in the classic design on a white strap keeps the traditional plate layout and swaps the usual black leather for white, which lifts the gold considerably. We build it in brass, zinc SD or zinc CNC. Brass comes in 2mm and 4mm, zinc SD and zinc CNC in 4mm and 6mm. The 24K gold plating edition is available on any build. The hand-tooled strap measures 50 inches and fits a waist up to 46. A finished belt weighs 7 to 8 lbs. Prices run from $130 to $520 and the nameplate is free.

Pricing And Variations

Pick your plate material and thickness, then decide on the 24K gold plating upgrade. The price moves with those three choices and nothing else.

Plate material Plate thickness Standard finish With 24K gold plating
Brass 2mm $130 $180
Brass 4mm $220 $270
Zinc SD 4mm $260 $310
Zinc SD 6mm $340 $380
Zinc CNC 4mm $380 $430
Zinc CNC 6mm $470 $520

How the material changes the price. Brass is the entry point and starts at $130. Zinc SD sits in the middle. Zinc CNC costs the most because every plate is machined individually rather than cast from a mould.

Which thicknesses each material offers. Brass comes in 2mm and 4mm. Zinc SD and zinc CNC both come in 4mm and 6mm. Not every thickness is available in every material, so the table above is the full list.

What the 24K upgrade costs. The 24K gold plating edition adds $50 to a build. Pick your row, then add the upgrade or leave it off.

Choose Your Build

Which plate material to pick. Brass is the entry point and the most affordable. Zinc SD is die-cast and sits in the middle. Zinc CNC machines each plate individually and costs the most, giving the crispest edges of the three.

Which plate thickness to pick. Brass comes in 2mm and 4mm. Zinc SD and zinc CNC come in 4mm and 6mm. A secondary title gets worn more than most, so the thinner builds suit anyone who will carry it.

Why white leather is the harder build. A white strap shows everything. Dye consistency, stitch spacing and edge finishing all have to be right, because any flaw sits in plain view rather than being hidden by dark leather. We hand-tool and finish the white strap with that in mind.

Whether to take the 24K edition. Gold against white reads warmer and brighter than gold against black, so the 24K upgrade shows more here than on the standard version. It adds $50 to any build.

What you can customise. You can change the material, the thickness, the plating and the enamel shades, plus stitch colour and strap length. Your nameplate is free and we cut custom side plates from artwork you send us.

The Story Behind The Belt

When the title was created. The WWF established the Intercontinental Championship on 1 September 1979, after the North American Heavyweight Championship was unified with a South American title in storyline. Pat Patterson was the inaugural champion.

How old it is within WWE. It is the third-oldest championship still active in WWE, behind the WWE Championship from 1963 and the United States Championship from 1974. Because WWE has only owned the US title since 2001, the Intercontinental is the second longest-tenured belt in the company.

What the title is known for. It has long been described as the stepping stone to a world championship, and the list of holders includes Pat Patterson, The Rock, the Ultimate Warrior, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Why buy the classic plate. The traditional design is the one most buyers picture, which is why it outsells the modern look. If you want the later version instead, the 2019 design is a very different belt. Both Intercontinental designs sit together in our WWE replica belts collection.

Designed For Fans, Collectors, And Champions

Who buys the white strap version. Collectors who already own a black-strapped Intercontinental buy this as the variant. Display buyers choose it because white separates the belt from a wall of dark leather. Fans of the eighties and nineties era buy it as their main Intercontinental belt.

Which build suits which buyer. Order brass in 2mm or 4mm if the belt will be worn, since that is the lightest and cheapest route. Order zinc CNC in 6mm with the 24K edition for a case, where gold against white carries furthest.

Care And Display

How to keep white leather clean. This is the one belt where handling matters most. Keep it away from denim and other dyed fabrics, which transfer colour onto pale leather and rarely come out. Handle it with clean dry hands.

How to stop it yellowing. White cowhide yellows under direct sunlight far more visibly than black fades. Keep this belt out of windows and away from heat.

How to clean the plates. Dry microfibre cloth only. Keep liquids away from the join between plate and strap, since any run-off leaves a visible mark on white leather.

What to do if something comes loose. Contact us before attempting a repair, since adhesive marks white leather permanently and cannot be lifted.
